About Us

It Started with Puck...

At Country Road Canines, everything we do is built around one simple idea: dogs need the right environment to truly thrive.

Our journey started with our own dog, Puck. He struggled in a busy neighborhood—too much noise, not enough space, and constant stress. We saw firsthand how the environment impacts behavior, and we knew there had to be a better way.

So we made a big change—trading our home for a 3-acre property in the country where dogs could have room to move, think, and just be dogs.

Today, that same purpose drives everything we offer. Whether it’s training, boarding, daycare, or dock diving, our focus is on providing structure, space, and thoughtful care tailored to each dog.

We’re not a high-volume facility. We keep things intentional, calm, and personalized—so every dog that comes here gets the same level of attention and understanding we gave Puck.

Because every dog deserves the chance to feel safe, balanced, and fulfilled.

Stacy Dugdale
Owner and Lead Trainer

Hi, I’m Stacy! I’ve been training dogs professionally since 2014, and my passion for dog behavior has only grown stronger over the years. After completing my education, I participated in an extensive apprenticeship program in which I studied canine training and behavior in depth.

I’m an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and a Certified Canine Nosework Trainer. I love working with dogs of all breeds and personalities — from shy and sensitive to impulsive, energetic, and overly excitable.

What I love most about being a dog trainer is helping owners better understand, communicate with, and build stronger relationships with their dogs.

Outside of training, I enjoy weekend getaways with family, hiking, and lake days with my dogs. I also spend much of my personal training time working with my Belgian Malinois, Devo and Verde, in ringsport.

Ken Dugdale

Owner & Canine Concierge

Ken is our Canine Concierge here at Country Road Canines and helps make sure the dogs feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. He has a natural way with dogs and is great at building trust, keeping routines smooth, and making each dog feel like part of the family.

The dogs absolutely love Ken — he’s kind of like the fun uncle around here. Whether he’s helping with daily care, playtime, potty breaks, or keeping things running behind the scenes, Ken brings a calm, friendly, and fun presence to the dogs’ day.

Outside of Country Road Canines, Ken also owns and operates his own real estate business. Between real estate and helping with the dogs, he stays busy, but he’s an important part of what makes our home-based dog care feel personal, relaxed, and welcoming.
